Sandra BurnsThe John A. Ware School of Nursing at the University of La Verne is dedicated to the advancement of nursing education and the profession of nursing. We are pleased you chose to pursue a BSN degree at the University of La Verne. BSN prepared nurses have the opportunity to gain knowledge in areas such as, community-based public health nursing, policy, leadership and management, and disease prevention. Nurses with a BSN degree qualify for roles in nursing leadership, informatics, clinical nurse researcher, and administration in health care delivery systems.

The mission of the School of Nursing is to provide an exemplary educational opportunity to students. Our faculty are subject matter experts in their respective field devoted to student achievement of program learning outcomes. The faculty and advisors are available to provide guidance, assistance, and academic support to our students for academic success.
