Yes. Applicants to the RN-BSN program must be a CA resident and be licensed as an RN in the State of California prior to admission to the program. The clinical (practicum) must be attended in person within a 50-mile radius of the University of La Verne.

No, the School of Nursing and the Office of Admissions work closely together when reviewing your application. You must meet both the University and the School of Nursing requirements to be eligible for the RN-BSN program.

Yes. An applicant may apply with a foreign degree and/or foreign coursework. Applicants with foreign degrees/coursework must meet the same admission criteria and must submit an official copy of the original foreign transcript and an English translation.

The University of La Verne cannot accept the credit from a nationally accredited institution. The University of La Verne can only accept regionally accredited institution units.

No. Letters of recommendation for admission into the RN-BSN program are optional, not required.

Yes. The School of Nursing offers an option to defer admission. If an admitted student is unable to start the program, he or she will need to notify their Advisor to make academic plan.

The RN-BSN Program courses are 8-weeks in duration. Courses are offered Fall Session I and Fall Session II; Spring Session I and Spring Session II; and Summer Session.

The Public Health Nursing practicum will be completed at a public health/community health agency. We have partners within the surrounding areas of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

Cost Per Unit $445 to $645

Tuition is $645 per unit with scholarship and partnership discounts of up to $200 per unit available for qualifying students.
