The University of La Verne’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree provides health services professionals with the key competencies and specialized knowledge to manage effectively in healthcare organizations. The MHA program shares and implements the university’s commitment to personalized academic attention through small classes and one-on-one academic advising, as well as student-faculty learning and interaction with experienced staff.

Through MHA courses, students learn the economics of healthcare, organizational communications, and current trends and issues in health services. Through these courses, students also:

The University of La Verne understands the need for schedule flexibility; that’s why students can pursue the MHA degree full-or part-time, online, or at our La Verne and Orange County Region. Courses take place in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate the schedules of working students. The University of La Verne also accepts applications and admits qualified students throughout the year, so you don’t have to wait months to apply or race against application deadlines.

MHA Degree Concentrations

The MHA program offers three concentrations to its students: financial management, public health, and long term care administration. These concentrations prepare students for careers in health administration while teaching them skills like strategic planning and management in health service organizations, marketing and business development, management of information, and public health policy.

Accelerated 4+1 Master of Health Administration (MHA)

Qualifying University of La Verne undergraduate students may apply to participate in the accelerated Master of Health Administration (MHA) program once they have completed 90 semester units of undergraduate courses. Eligible MHA courses are determined by the MHA Program Director. Participants will need advance approval from their undergraduate advisor for shared credit courses. The MHA courses may not exceed 15 units prior to undergraduate degree completion.

Applicants must meet all MHA admission requirements. Admission to the MHA program is provisional prior to undergraduate degree completion and contingent on applicants continuing to meet MHA admission and program requirements. Please contact the program director for further information.
