His professional experiences revealed how often veterans face barriers to consistent, basic healthcare\u2014especially oral health services that are frequently overlooked.<br><br>Through the MHA program, he has strengthened his leadership skills and gained a deeper understanding of healthcare systems, policy, and administration. With more than a decade of experience across community-based mental health, inpatient medical and psychiatric settings, and managed healthcare organizations, she entered the MHA program seeking the education needed to expand her impact into healthcare leadership.<br><br>Through the University of La\u00a0Verne\u2019s MHA program, Ashley strengthened her confidence and leadership skills while integrating her clinical background with administrative and public health perspectives. Mentorship from faculty helped shape her approach to ethical, data-informed decision-making and reinforced her commitment to equity, social justice, and community wellness. Witnessing the profound impact of the crisis on older adults and families inspired him to pursue healthcare leadership focused on compassion, access, and quality of life.<br><br>As an international student, Yongyi found the MHA program to be both academically rigorous and deeply supportive. Mentorship from faculty, particularly the guidance he received throughout his academic, professional, and immigration journey played a defining role in his experience.
